Who We Support

World 11 ESOL provides Alternative Provision for young people who require additional support to engage in education.

We work primarily with learners aged 16–17, with a focus on those who may face barriers to participation, engagement, or progression within mainstream education.

Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)

We specialise in supporting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), who may experience:

  • Language barriers

  • Disrupted or limited previous education

  • Trauma or emotional challenges

  • Social isolation

Our provision supports UASC learners to develop English language skills, build confidence, and integrate into education and community settings.

Learners on Reduced Timetables

We support young people who are accessing education on a part-time basis and require additional structured provision to:

  • Increase engagement

  • Build routine

  • Support progression

Our term-time delivery aligns with existing education placements.

Learners Requiring Social and Emotional Support

We support learners who may need additional help with:

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Communication and social interaction

  • Emotional regulation

Our approach combines education with activity-based engagement to support overall development.

Learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)

We support learners who require additional support with English, including those at early stages of language development.

Our ESOL delivery is adapted to meet individual ability levels, ensuring all learners can access and engage with the provision.

Learners Struggling to Engage in Mainstream Education

Our provision is suitable for learners who:

  • Have disengaged from traditional classroom settings

  • Require a more practical and engaging approach

  • Benefit from small-group support

We provide a structured environment that supports re-engagement and confidence-building.

Our Approach

We understand that every learner is different.

We work closely with local authorities, social workers, and support staff to understand individual needs and ensure that our provision is appropriate, safe, and effective.
