About World 11 ESOL
World 11 ESOL was set up in Bristol by founder Jordan White after seeing first-hand the need for more education and activities for young people who are new to the UK.
Jordan was working as an Outreach Worker supporting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), alongside volunteering for a charity that combined football with English classes for adults.
After seeing how well the two worked together, he saw an opportunity to offer something similar for young people. The charity's existing programme was unable to work with under-18s due to the additional insurance requirements, so Jordan decided to set something up that could.
This was particularly important for new arrivals, who can sometimes have gaps in education while waiting for college enrolment or may only have limited education in place.
In 2025, Jordan received a national youth work award in recognition of going above and beyond in his work supporting young people.
Why ESOL and Football?
Football is something that brings people together regardless of language or background.
By combining ESOL education with coached football sessions, young people have the opportunity to improve their English while staying active, meeting others and enjoying a sport many of them already have an interest in.

Our Experience
World 11 ESOL has been delivering ESOL and football sessions since December 2025.
Our experience comes from working directly with young people, including UASC learners, and understanding some of the barriers they can face when accessing education and activities.
We continue to develop our provision around the needs of the young people we work with.
